Batman: Arkham City - Game of the Year Edition

Best Batman Game Ever Made

Batman Arkham Asylum was already a great game, with many fantastic features that made playing as the Dark Knight an amazing experience. But Arkham City took all that to the next level, in almost every possible way. As a Batman fan, I'd say this game is worth a purchase even at full price. Especially with a story by Paul Dini, the writer for Batman TAS? This purchase is a no brainer.

BATTLETECH - Mercenary Collection

Better With Mods

The only reason to buy Battletech, imo, is the mods. The mods are what saves this game from being boring, woke, garbage. Mods will grant you a much larger Inner Sphere map to play around in, in one mod package you'll even be able to, essentially, play with other players. It's not so much you'll be able to fight them, as you will be able to influence the same map everyone, using that mod, play on. That mod is Roguetech. There's also a mod called, Battletech Extended Commander's Edition. Which is a similar mod, without an online map and some mech packages. It should also be noted, that in order to play Roguetech you will have to use an older version of Battletech, as well as a few other mods. However, given that Battletech is only better once mods are installed, the base game gets 3 stars from me. The game is meh, nothing special about it really. It's basically Mechwarrior Tactics Online, but looks nicer. (Sidenote, no, Battletech is not the first TBS game set in the Battletech universe. Apparently this was a point of contention for someone, so I guess it's worth mentioning here.) Anyway, this game does feature some woke elements, primarily in the gender of pilots. If that's an issue, don't worry, there's a mod to fix that. God bless modders. If you're a Battletech/Mechwarrior fan, get this game while it's on sale, and download some mods to make it perfect. If you're just looking for a TBS game, you can probably skip this one. All in all, Battletech is not a bad game, but it's not great either without mods. Mod the heck out of it.

Terminator: Resistance

The Perfect Terminator Game For Fans

You cannot go wrong with this one. If you're worried about any influence from the recent films being present here you can put that worry to rest, you won't find any here.

Darksiders III

Keep Fighting

Bought this because the devs had the spine to do an AMA on 8chan. Even if it truly was a mistake THQ, keep fighting against the SJW menace plaguing so many avenues of entertainment.

Slipstream

Not Perfect

I would like to say this is money well spent, but it's not. Get used to that scenery, cause you won't stop staring at the same building - painted in different colors - for the whole race. The dev(s) clearly tried to break up the monotony by splitting up the tracks into sections of these buildings, or other scenery elements - such as plants, tunnels, or open areas. Those sections do help but that trick can only do so much. However, racing is rather fun, and making the turns can be challenging. If you mess up, you could find yourself several places behind your opponents. Learn to drift, because you won't be winning a race without that skill - game journos might find that aspect too taxing, in which case I recommend they learn to code instead. I can't say with confidence the game is worth purchasing at full price, so wait for a sale.
